Some International and many National Conferences
have been organized by the University, including the World Congress of Sociology and UNESCO General Assembly of Vice-Chancellors, Rectors and Presidents, held once in five years. Both the meets were held for the first time in an Asian country. Visitingfellowships and teaching assignments to work in the best Universities and laboratories have been offered to many scholars. As National Lectures under the UGC scheme, several senior scholars lectured in different parts of India. Some scientists have also obtained significant US patents of their research outputs.
