Varaprasad S. Dolla is Associate Professor in Chinese Studies at the Centre. Currently teaches two courses on Chinese history and science & technology. He taught courses on Chinese foreign policy and political system earlier. He has been guiding M. Phil and doctoral students in their research for over a decade. He was ASIA (Asian Studies in Asia) Fellow at Peking University, Beijing in 2004. He has published research papers in journals and books besides presenting papers in the international and national conferences.

  1. ASIA (Asian Studies In Asia) Fellow Award from Asian Scholarship Foundation funded by Ford Foundation to conduct research on The Tao of Science and State in Post-Mao China for nine months in China in 2004.

  2. Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fellowship for Doctoral Studies by the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund in 1996 (Could not avail since I took up the current teaching assignment).
