UNDERGRADUATE/MA/M.PHIL
COURSES
Undergraduate Courses (for students of
the School of Languages, Literature and Cultural Studies)
Note: All M.Phil. Courses
carry four credits each. Students are required to offer two compulsory
courses and two optional courses. They are also required to write a
dissertation based on library work and analysis of secondary data. The
dissertation carries eight credits. The M.Phil. Ordinances insist that
students have to complete at least 50 per cent of the course -work (i.e.,
two courses) in the first semester itself. However, those students who
secure a minimum C.G.P.A. of A Minus (7.0 on the nine-point scale of
evaluation) in the course-work can opt for the Ph.D. programme without
writing the M.Phil. dissertation.
