Essential qualification: BTech/MTech/PhD

Desirable: Exposure in the area of MEMS (Micro-electro-mechanical Systems)/RF MEMS/Bio-MEMS fabrication will be preferred. Candidate should have knowledge of MEMS softwares: HFSS/CST/IE3D and MATLAB programming.

Temporary Research Assistant Position

Applications are invited on plain paper for a temporary post of Research Assistant under the IPR Chair in CESP, SSS, JNU.

Salary for the post will be as per university norms.

Essential Qualifications: M. Phil degree in Economics with aptitude for policy-oriented research, especially on trade and technology related issues. Candidate with some research experience will be preferred.

Essential Qualification

•Master's degree in Chemical Sciences/ Life Sciences/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biophysics/ with strong academic record.

• NET -LS/ GATE qualified will be preferred.

Desirable Qualification

A candidate with an experience in organic synthetic methodology, coupling reactions and stereo selective synthesis will be preferred. Student with Biology background should have an experience in protein expression, Purification, cloning, DNA isolation, Agarose gel running, SDS gel running, PCR, DNA sequencing, Western Blotting, Confocal Microscopy, Spectroscopy, Fluorescence Microscopy.

The selected candidate will be appointed on purely temporary basis, initially for a period of one year or till his/her services are required by the Project Investigator or till the validity of the project, whichever is earliest.

Applications are invited for 1 post of JRF and 1 post of Project Manager in the DBT funded project entitled project entitled: "DBT Virtual Enzyme Centre-Development of enzyme formulations for treatment of ligno-cellulosic biomass". The work will principally involve molecular cloning, fermentation and bioreactor data analysis. The position is temporary and available until September 2017 (till the end of the project). But the appointments shall be initially for a period of one year, renewable every year depending on the performance of project staff.

Qualifications for JRF: M.Sc./ B.Tech/M.Tech in Biotechnology / Biochemistry /Biophysics/Life Sciences with some knowledge in Biochemical Engineering, fermentation Technology and cell biology. (Desirable): 2 years of working experience with fermentation and/ or bioreactor data analysis.

Salary for JRF: As per UGC/CSIR/DST norms:

Qualification for Project Manager: BBA with 10 years experience or MBA with 5 years experience.
Experience of managing projects including purchase of equipments and consumables in a University/institute setting, handling custom clearances, preparing UC & SOE for projects, coordinating research activity in multi or single institutional projects, including maintenance of laboratory inventory, communicating between collaborators/research partners etc.

Salary for Project Manager : Rs. 25000 per month (Consolidated)
