My laboratory is engaged in exploring, unraveling and understanding (i) the basic neuronal mechanism(s) regulating Rapid Eye Movement (REM) Sleep and (ii) function(s) of REM sleep. We use classical as well as inter-disciplinary approaches including behavioral, electrophysiological, biochemical, cellular, molecular, bioinformatics, mathematical and computational modeling to achieve our goals.
