Varaprasad S. Dolla is Professor in Chinese Studies at the Centre. Currently he teaches two courses on Chinese history and science & technology. He taught courses on Chinese foreign policy and political system earlier. He has been guiding M. Phil and doctoral students in their research for the last 19 years. He was ASIA (Asian Studies in Asia) Fellow at Peking University, Beijing in 2004. He was also Visiting Professor at Tsinghua University. He has published a book titled Science and Technology in Contemporary China: Interrogating Policies and Progress (Cambridge University Press), research papers in journals and books besides presenting papers in the international and national conferences..
