        Dr. D. Varaprasad Sekhar teaches two courses for the M. Phil programme on two different disciplines: Chinese history and Chinese political system in the true multidisciplinary sense. However, his main area of research relates to science and technology development in China. He was ASIA (Asian Studies in Asia) Fellow at Peking University in 2004 and carried out a post-doctoral study on science and state in post-Mao China. He presented six research papers in the international conferences and two in the national conferences.
