Research Experience and Interests:

       23 years (4 years as Post-doctoral fellow)

  • Groundwater resources exploration, development and management in different rock formations. Design and construction of artificial recharge and rain water harvesting structures.

  • Groundwater pollution by natural and anthropogenic sources such as arsenic, fluoride, chromate, nitrates and its environmental impact analysis. Coastal water management and saline water intrusion studies.

  • Environmental and urbanization effects on groundwater levels and on water quality. Rock-water interaction studies and water logging problems.

  • Laboratory simulation batch and column studies on sorption behaviour of oxoanions through different soil systems. Hydro-geochemical models.

Teaching Experience and Interests:

20 years of graduate and post-graduate teaching and 1 year abroad (Asmara University, Eritrea, NE Africa) teaching experience.
