Spatial data analysis and geographic information science; with applications in Regional Development; application of GIS to urban environment/socio-economic/ physical and demographic aspects; earth observation for disaster management; Spatial planning and decentralization; land-use land cover change and impacts; climate change; to bridge the gap between social sciences and remote sensing research and to strengthen social science and planning applications.
