Ramadhikari Kumar, Rector, JNU has been honoured by the Russian President
Vladimir Putin who decorated him with the prestigious Pushkin Medal, named after
the world famous 19th Century Russian Poet Alexander Sergeivich
Pushkin, for his distinguished contributions in promoting Russian language and
culture in India.

Rural Affairs Editor, The Hindu, and Member, JNU Court and Executive Council,
has been awarded the “2007 Ramon Magsaysay Award”, widely regarded as Asia’s
equivalent of the Nobel prize, for his contributions to journalism, literature
and creative communication arts.
