New Appointments

Dr. Ashok Priyadarshan Dimri has joined as Associate Professor in School of Environmental Sciences; Dr. Vyjayanti Raghvan in Centre for Japanese Korean and North East Asian Studies, School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies; Dr. Amita Batra in Centre for South, Central Southeast Asian and Southwest Pacific Studies, School of International Studies; Dr. Manidipa Sen in Centre for Philosophy, School of Social Sciences.

Dr. Lovekesh Vig has joined as Assistant Professor in School of Information Technology; Dr. Mahesh Ranjan Debata in Centre for South, Central Southeast Asian and Southwest Pacific Studies; Dr. Sheetal Sharma in Centre for European Studies, School of International Studies; Dr. Saima Aijaz in Special Centre for Molecular Medicine; Dr. Sangeeta Dasgupta in Centre for Historical Studies, School of Social Sciences.

Dr. Amresh Dubey has been appointed as Professor in Centre for the Study of Regional Development, School of Social Sciences; Dr. G. Vijayachandra Naidu in Centre for South, Central Southeast Asian and Southwest Pacific Studies, School of International Studies; Prof. Balasundaram Subramanian in Centre of German Studies, School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies; Prof. G. Mukhopadhyay and Prof. Chinmay K. Mukhopadhyay in the Special Centre for Molecular Medicine.

In administration, Sh. Kartar Singh, Sh. Fateh Singh and Dr. A.K. Malik have joined as Joint Finance Officer/Joint Registrars (Temporary) respectively and Sh. Jit Singh, Sh. A.S. Sebastian and Sh. D. Tekchandani as Deputy Registrars.

New Chairpersons/Chief Advisor

We have four new Chairpersons: Prof. Mohan Rao in the Centre for Social Medicine and Community Health, School of Social Sciences; Dr. Srikanth Kondapalli in the Centre for East Asian Studies, School of International Studies; Prof. Anvita Abbi in the Centre for Linguistics, School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies; and Prof. Varyam Singh, Dean, SLL&CS, has taken additional charge of the Special Centre for Sanskrit Studies. Prof. Anand Kumar, Centre for the Study of Social Systems, School of Social Sciences has been appointed as Chief Advisor, Alumni Affairs.

Retirements/Resignations

Sh. V. Muralidhar, Senior Systems Analyst, CIS, SIT retired from the University services.

In the Administration, Sh. P.J. Antony, Administrative Officer (D); Sh. B.N. Lal, Security Inspector; Sh. Sultan Singh, Havaldar; Sh. K.K. Gandharan, Cook; Shri. Nandu Ram, Generator Operator; Sh. Ek Bahadur Gurung, Security Guard; Sh. Gagan Singh, Security Guard, and Sh. Chetan Prakash, Wireman, retired from the University services.

Dr. Rahul Mukherji, Centre for Political Studies, School of Social Sciences, Sh. M.S. Cheema, Chief Security Officer and Sh. Deepak Arya, Section Officer, resigned from the services of the University.
