Dr. Sabaree Mitra, Centre for Chinese and South East Asian Studies, School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies, has been awarded the ASIA Fellowship, 2006 to work in China on “Activism of Chinese Women Writers during Reform and Globalization.” This fellowship is awarded by the Asian Scholarship Foundation, Bangkok, to Asian scholars doing research on various aspects of other Asian Countries.

Mr.  R.  C.  Joshi, Senior Assistant Telephone Cell & Part-time, Coach W/L & P/L won Gold Medal in Jr. & Master Delhi State Power-lifting Championship held on 26 November, 2006.

Mr. Bhupendra Kumar Singh, Research Scholar, Centre for West Asian and African Studies, School of International Studies, his research paper “India’s energy Security : A comparative analysis of Petroleum and Nuclear Energy” has been declared best in the category Strategic and Defence studies at 30th Indian Social Science Congress 2006, at Algappa University, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu.
