Ajay Dubey, Professor

He holds Master's degree in Political Science and has done M.Phil. and Ph.D. in International Studies. His research areas are International Studies, Foreign Policy, African Affairs and Diasporas Studies. His books on African affairs include- India and Africa's Partnership, Trends in Indo-African Relations (Manas Publications, 2010), France and Africa: An Indian Perspective (Kalinga Publications, 2009), India and Francophone Africa under Globalisation (Kalinga Publications, 2009), Government and Politics in Mauritius (Kalinga Publication, 1997) and Indo- African Relations in the Post- Nehru Era (Kalinga Publication, 1990). His books on Diaspora issues include- Indian Diaspora Contributions to their New Home (MD Publication, 2011), Indian Diaspora in Africa: A Comparative Perspective (MD Publication, 2009) and Indian Diaspora: Global Identity (Kalinga Publication, 2003). He is also Editor-in-Chief of three international peer reviewed bi-annual journals: Diaspora Studies (Ruotledge, London), Africa Review (Taylor and Francis, London) and Insight on Africa (SAGE Publications). He has published more than 3 dozen research papers in journals or as book chapters. He has supervised over 2 dozen Ph. D. thesis and over 55 M. Phil. dissertations. He had been invited as a Visiting Professor/Fellow in several institutions abroad. He has several collaborative research projects with international institutions. He is currently Secretary General of African Studies Association of India (ASA India) and President of Organisation for Diaspora Initiatives (ODI International).

Subodh Narayan Malakar, Professor

He holds Master's degree in Politics (with specialization in International Relations) and M.Phil. and Ph.D. in International Studies. His research areas are: social conflict in Africa, Agrarian Transformation in Africa, Social Change and Democracy in Africa. His published books include; Agrarian Transformation and Political Dynamics in Ethiopia (Academic Excellence Publication, 2006), India's Energy Security and the Gulf (Academic Excellence Publisher, 2006) and The second coming: US war on Iraq 2003: An Indian perspective (Academic Excellence Publisher, 2004). He has also published articles 'India and Francophone Africa: The Oil Factor' Ajay Dubey (ed.), France and Africa an Indian Perspective (Kalinga Publications, 2009), "African Union and Its Role in Conflict Prevention, Mediation and Resolution for Peace and Development", Journal of the Institute of Human Rights, (2008), "Reconceptualising Democracy and Conflict Resolution in Sub-Saharan Africa". Islam and Modern Age (2006), "Globalization and emerging Trends in Sub-Saharan Africa: A critical Observation" in Ravi Shankar Kumar Singh (ed.), Globalization and Contemporary Economic Scenario, (Abhijeet Publication, 2005) and "Emerging Dimensions of Indo-African Agricultural Co-operation", Journal of India Ocean Studies, (2005).
