Application Procedure

Individual scholars may apply directly to the JNIAS, by sending in their Curriculum Vitae, a research proposal, and the names and addresses of two referees. They may, if possible, indicate the name(s) of JNU faculty, centre or school with whom they would like to be associated during their stay.

Members of the JNU faculty, whether individually, severally, or collectively as Centres and Schools of the University, may also encourage individual scholars to apply for consideration of the JNIAS advisory board. Plans to host a group of scholars working around a particular theme may also be put up for consideration.

The decision of the JNIAS Advisory Board regarding selection of fellows will be final. The JNIAS Advisory Board may also invite fellows to the institute on their own initiative.
