About Me (Brief)

Dr. Sonu Saini is an Assistant Professor in Jawaharlal Nehru University since year 2012. Before JNU he worked as faculty at the Department of Slavonic & Finno-Ugrian Studies, University of Delhi during 2008-2012.
His educational qualification is Ph.D, M.Phil in Russian Literature and M.A. in Russian Studies. He also completed MBA in Human Resource & Information Technology and M.A. in English Studies.
Along with Russian studies he has experience in computer languages and programs. The website (www.sonusaini.com or www.jnu.ac.in/faculty/sonusaini), containing audio-video aids, teaching material on Russian language was developed and maintained by him since 2011.

Dr. Saini was honoured by:

The Best Young Teacher of Russian Language award by RCSC,  Embassy of Russian Federation – 2010

First Place in the International Competition “Media Technology in teaching Russian language and Russian Culture” by " by Rossotrudnichestvo, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Russia. June 2015.

Laureate in the International Contest "The Best Teacher of Russian Language & Literature Abroad" by Rossotrudnichestvo, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Russia. June 2015. 

Special Prize in International Contest "The Best Teacher of Russian Language & Literature Abroad" by Rossotrudnichestvo, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Russia. June 2014. 

In his current position he has been working in the area of “Russian Documentary Prose” and “Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) methodology in Teaching/Learning Russian”.
