Rules and Guidelines for Students


1. Student should regularly visit the JNU Placement Cell website for jobs/internships/training updates.

2. The interested students should register with the Placement Cell by filling the Student Registration From (below).

3. All registered students will receive an email about jobs/internships/events.

3. JNU Placement Cell will allow only registered students of JNU to sit for the Campus Placement.

4. All the information related to Campus Recruitment/Jobs/Internships will be available on the JNU Placement Cell webpage.

5. JNU Placement Cell will not be responsible for absenteeism in any test, interview or any selection process that are required by the company.

The JNU Placement Cell will post the job announcement on its website.
+ How may I avail the JNU Placement Cell support?
To access the support and opportunities provided by the JNU Placement Cell, you need to collaborate yourself with JNU Placement Cell by filling the below google form. Student Registration form
+ How many organisations can I apply for?
You can apply to as many companies as you like until you are placed.
+ Are there any school specific organisations invited?
Yes, both school specific as well as multi-disciplinary organizations are invited to conduct the respective placement drives.
+ How do organisations shortlist programs they wish to interact with?
Candidates are chosen from a pool of applicants based on their CVs.
+ Can I apply for M.Tech placement drives if I am not pursuing M.Tech but have done B.Tech in CSE/ECE?
It depends on the organization hiring. If the role is strictly for M.Tech students the you are not allowed to apply for the role. But if the organization is also looking for B.Tech graduates than you are entitled to apply for it.
+ What kind of information do students expect in Pre-Placement Talks?
The pre-placement talk is a platform for interaction between the organisation and the students. The presentation is followed by a Q&A session where students interact with oraganisation officials to get a better understanding of the orgaisation and potential roles. The important insights that the students expect from the PPT are:
  • Profile and reputation of the corporation
  • Career roles and responsibilities offered in different types of profiles
  • Locations where the student is likely to be posted
  • Compensation packages
