OUTREACH ACTIVITIES
Mentoring short research projects with B.Sc students at Colleges of University of Delhi.
Prof. Pareek has been delivering "popular lectures" on prospects of Biotechnology School students (primarily senior students) or Students at Colleges (Graduation level) or the teachers of the school schools and colleges or the officers of the public administration system since past ten years. These lectures have been delivered at more than 30 Schools and colleges in and around Delhi.

To create awareness among the general public through media, a Journalist's/writer's workshop on biosafety was organized by Indian National Science Academy (INSA, New Delhi, July 5-6, 2006). Prof. Pareek delivered a lecture on the topic : Plant Biotechnology: key issues

A documentary film - "The Story of Rice " (in two volumes: 20 min. duration for each) based on the objectives and achievements of the research work of the applicant and his group has been made by Mass Communication Research Centre, and has been telecasted on Doordarshan National Network under UGC Program on 23 and 30th August, 1995.

Through The EDUSAT National Program (Education Satellite) based on the concept of virtual class rooms for the students in remote areas, a program was organized in the year 2010, where Prof. Pareek delivered a lecture on the topic Cell Biology: Peeping into the cell: This lecture was telecasted across the country for students.

Prof. Pareek is also a Member of Biotechnology curriculum Committee, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi which is an organization imparting education to senior school students across the Nation and beyond.
