Dr. Priya Bhagowalia
PhD (Purdue University), Associate Professor

Dr. Bhagowalia is a development economist and works on health & nutrition, gender, poverty, agriculture, and environmental health. Her research includes work on the linkages between women's empowerment and child nutrition; economic correlates of malnutrition using household surveys from developing countries; impact of gender on agricultural decisions; agricultural incentives and food security; health effects of air and water quality.

Dr. Bhagowalia obtained her BA from SRCC, Delhi, MA and MPhil Degrees from the Delhi School of Economics and PhD from Purdue University, USA. She has held faculty positions at Ambedkar University, Delhi, TERI University, Delhi, Lady Shriram College and Jesus & Mary College, University of Delhi, and at Ball State University, Indiana. She has also been a consultant to the International Food Policy Research Institute.
