About the Organizing Institutions

QMAT2026 is being hosted at Jawaharlal Nehru University in collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi, and Bennett University, Greater Noida.

Jawaharlal Nehru University

Jawaharlal Nehru University is one of India’s premier institutions of higher education and research. Known for its strong emphasis on interdisciplinary scholarship and critical thinking, JNU has consistently ranked among the top universities in the country.

The School of Physical Sciences at JNU is internationally recognized for research in condensed matter physics, materials science, quantum phenomena, statistical physics, and computational methods. The school fosters rigorous theoretical and experimental work and maintains active collaborations with leading national and international laboratories. QMAT2026 is being hosted by SPS-JNU as part of its continued commitment to advancing research in quantum condensed matter.

Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi

IIT Delhi is one of India’s leading technical institutions, globally respected for excellence in science, engineering, and technology research. The Department of Physics at IIT Delhi has significant contributions in quantum materials, nanoscience, superconductivity, and advanced characterization techniques. Its participation strengthens the academic depth and collaborative framework of QMAT2026.

National Physical Laboratory

The National Physical Laboratory, a constituent laboratory of CSIR, serves as India’s national metrology institute. NPL plays a crucial role in precision measurement science, materials research, superconducting standards, and applied condensed matter studies. Its expertise in experimental characterization and materials development adds strong technical support to the QMAT community.

Bennett University, Greater Noida
