Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) actively collaborates with several foreign Universities and Institutions and has established academic linkages with universities and institutions in 48 countries. Possibilities are being explored for academic collaborations with foreign universities of repute in other countries also.
There are two types of academic agreements:
1. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is signed with foreign universities if the academic collaboration involves more than one School of Study of the University; and
2. Agreement of Cooperation (AoC) is signed at the School level, specific to the field of study in a particular school of study.
Current Programs
1. Resources for Internationalisation of Higher Education Institutions in India (RISHII) Tuning Academy (DITA) Erasmus+ Project
Jawaharlal Nehru University is one of the 19 European and Indian partner institutions participating in the RISHII project started on 15 January, 2020. This is a European Union funded project (2020-2023) being coordinated by University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain. Prof. Sharad K Soni, is Contact Person and Coordinator along with other Internationalization Team members representing JNU in the RISHII Project.
2. Tuning India (T- India) Erasmus Project
The Tuning India Project was sanctioned by the European Union to the University of Deusto (UD), Spain. Project has twenty (20) different academic higher education institutions/Universities, out of which fifteen (15) are from India and five (5) from the Europe. This is a European Union funded project (2018-2021) being coordinated by University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain. Prof. Arun S Kharat is Contact Person and Project Manager along with other Internationalization Team members representing JNU in the Tuning India (T-India) Project.

ICO invites applications from Ph.D Students for paper presentation in international conference’s organized/held by foreign Universities/institution’s with whom JNU have active MoUs and AoCs.
The Applicant should have the synopsis confirmation by the CASR and should have joined the Ph.D programme on or after July 2019.
The Applicants should submit the applications along with documents duly forwarded by the Chairperson of the Centre and Dean of the School to International Collaboration Office, Email: ico1@mail.jnu.ac.in.
