Applications are invited for the following positions of ONE Project Research Scientist II (Non-Medical) in the ICMR funded project entitled “Rational Designing and Engineering of fluorescent, Specifically Targeted Antimicrobial Peptides (STAMPs) and evaluation of their antifungal, anti-virulence and antibiofilm potential against drug Resistant Fungal Pathogens”
POSITION: Project Research Scientist II (Non-Medical)
Essential qualification:
1. First-class postgraduate degree in any stream of Biological Sciences or Relevant Subject, including the integrated PG degrees, with three years of experience or a PhD in Biological Sciences or Relevant Subject.
OR
2. Second Class Post Graduate Degree in any stream of Biological Sciences or Relevant Subject, including the integrated PG degree, with PhD in Biological Sciences or Relevant Subject and three years experience.
OR
3. For Engineering-First class graduate degree of four years in Biotechnology or Relevant Subject with three years experience.
Desirable:
1. Research publications in the relevant field.
2. Knowledge of working in Infectious Diseases (Bacterial/ Fungal), Antimicrobial Compounds and Nanotechnology/ Nanomedicine/ Nanobiotechnology.
Candidates should submit a brief (about 1 page) summary of their research work and a copy of their detailed CV (with names and e. mail contacts of three referees) along with the application in hard copy.
Salary: As per ICMR norms (INR 67000 p.m. plus HRA as permissible)
The position is co-terminus with the project. The selected candidate will be appointed purely on temporary basis, initially for one year that may be extended based on the satisfactory performance on yearly basis till the completion of project.
