Seminar of the School of Physical Sciences Hydrodynamics of Conserved-Mass Transport Processes and Einstein Relation Punyabrata Pradhan (S.N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Kolkata) Date: December 6, 2016 Abstract: We obtain a hydrodynamic description of a broad class of conserved-mass transport processes on a ring. The processes are governed by chipping, diffusion and coalescence of masses. The microscopic probability weights in the nonequilibrium steady states, having nontrivial correlations, are not exactly known. In these processes, we analytically calculate bulk diffusion coefficient and conductivity, which remarkably obey an Einstein relation.
