How &amp; Why? "</strong> <strong>Date: August 18, 2016</strong> Abstract: "Song of a Painter" 2006/40 mins/ HDV/ Hindi with English subtitles. "Dream of a Painter" 2013/40 mins/ HD/ English with English subtitles. I will be showing two of my short documentary films 40 mins each, about two painters. One, about an Indian painter Manohar Deolalikar and two, about a British painter Robert Ord Page. Both films are biographical. Both the painters are no more with us. These are the only films about them. By showing example certain complexities involved in making of biographical films, the purpose is to Wonder about key question of whose, how and why biographical films. It also ponders about biographical films as a wonderful tool of recording living/lived histories.
