Diploma Program in Entrepreneurship - Proposed Program
Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management & Entrepreneurship was established at JNU with the twin
purpose of providing Management education through MBA programme as well as Entrepreneurship
education through suitable mode - degree or Diploma or other short-term courses/programmes.
As MBA Programme has already started in the session 2025-2026 and with faculty selection process in
place, it is considered opportune to start one-year Diploma Programme in Entrepreneurship now. The
main objective behind devising this programme is to provide Entrepreneurship education to the
potential entrepreneurs who intend to initiate their own start-ups or being a part of other's
ventures. The Diploma Programme aims to impart appropriate education and offer training with expert
faculty which will instil confidence in the trainees. In the current business environment,
entrepreneurship is probably of the highest priority for the nation as newer technologies are
putting pressure on business to innovate for ensuring socio-economic equilibrium. The proposed
Diploma in Entrepreneurship is intended to cater to this need and fill the vacuum in
entrepreneurship education and training.
The fee proposed for the one-year Diploma is Rs. 50,000 per Semester.
For successful completion of Diploma Programme, a student must earn a minimum of 40 credits during
the 2 semesters. This is consistent with the UGC regulations.
