ABOUT THE SCHOOL
The Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management and Entrepreneurship (ABVSME), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) was established in 2018, ABVSME with a vision to integrate excellence in Management Education with the University’s strong tradition of interdisciplinary research and social responsibility. Currently the school offers MBA, and Ph.D., focusing on innovation, entrepreneurship, sustainable business practices, and policy-driven management education. ABVSME aims to create leaders who combine managerial competence and diverse skills with ethical and inclusive values, contributing to nation-building and global progress.
PROGRAMME OF STUDY
Doctor of Philosophy(Ph.D.) in Management
The programme offers specialization across diverse areas of Management studies, viz .Human Resource Management, Management, Commerce, Economics and Computer Science. The programme emphasizes a rigorous curriculum combining advanced research methodology, theoretical foundations, and empirical inquiry.
PhD scholars are mentored by accomplished faculty with strong academic and industry experience. The students are encouraged to publish in high-quality journals, present research papers in international conferences/seminars, and engage with policy-makers and industry stakeholders. This programme aims to train scholars who would contribute meaningfully to academic and research in management and policy making and in shaping knowledge in leadership for a sustainable and inclusive growth.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
A candidate, for being eligible for admission to Ph.D Programme, must possess the prescribed Educational Qualification and UGC/CSIR NET percentile of December 2024 onwards of NET Examinations of UGC/CSIR in the Relevant/Allied NET/JRF Subject/s as mentioned against each Ph.D Programme below. Mere possessing the educational qualification and not possessing NET percentile of the Relevant/Allied NET/JRF Subject/s of December 2024 onwards of NET examinations of UGC/CSIR and vice versa shall make a candidate ineligible.

All the JRF qualified candidates in the desired field will be called for Interview and final selection shall be done on the basis of marks secured in the Interview.
For Foreign Nationals:
GMAT Score(minimum 550) and MBA/Master’s Degree in Management or in a relevant discipline (Human Resource Management/ Commerce/Economics/Computer Science).
