The CIF constitutes the heart of the cooperative research activities at the School, established using the University Resources and supported by various research funding grants e.g UGC COSIST, DBT-BUILDER Programme, DSA (SAP) etc.
Within this facility, a diverse array of hundreds of advanced and specialized instruments are available for research endeavors conducted by both students and faculty members. The CIF maintains continuous accessibility, operating 24 hours a day, all around the year.
In addition to servicing the School of Life Sciences (SLS), this exceptional facility caters to researchers hailing from other Schools/Special Centres of JNU, as well as external Universities and Institutes located in Delhi and across the nation. Under the UGC University link activities, CIF resources are made accessible to researchers aiming to carry out their brief term-projects. This is achieved under the guidance and collaborative support of SLS faculty and the technical personnel of the School.
