PhD Programme in Molecular Medicine
Students are accepted in this program through two categories:
Category-I: (Candidates qualified through the Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination (JNUEE))
Category-II (Candidates qualified through national exams including CSIR NET, DBT JRF, ICMR JRF)
Candidates from either categories are selected through interview of short-listed candidates. The admission procedure is subject to change as per university guidelines. Following selection, the initiation to the Ph.D. program is preceeded by a obligatory course work.
i. The course work leading to the award of an M.Sc degree in Molecular Medicine shall be for a period of four semesters (two Monsoon Semesters and two Winter Semesters) with a compulsory requirement for submission of a research-based dissertation at the end of the Winter Semester of the 2nd year. A student desirous of continuing to the Ph.D. program in Molecular Medicine will be eligible for enrolment for the Ph.D. program provided he/she has secured a minimum CGPA of 6.5 in M.Sc. (CGPA 6.0 in case of SC/ST candidates). These students will be offered provisional Ph. D. admission. After successful completion of pre-Ph.
