Applications are invited for a Research Associate post for a DST-SERB funded project entitled “Modulation of structure, aggregation and amyloid fibril formation in α-synuclein and its familial mutants A53T, E46K and H50Q involved in Parkinson’s disease by naturally occurring anthocyanins” at School of Biotechnology, JNU.
Position: One post
Essential Qualification: Candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology/ Biological Science/Biophysics/ Biochemistry or any other related discipline with good academic and publication record.
Desirable: Experience in Protein expression and purification, site-directed mutagenesis, biophysical investigation using CD, fluorescence, FTIR, and experience in TEM/AFM, Cell culture and Confocal imaging techniques.
Salary: As per the norms of the funding agency and the University.
Appointment will be made purely on a temporary basis and is co-terminus with the project. The candidates may further be shortlisted based on their qualifications and relevant experience depending on the number of applicants. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
