The Atal Incubation Centre – JNU Foundation for Innovation (AIC-JNUFI) was incorporated on 14th May 2019 (CIN: U80904DL2019NPL350050). It is supported by the Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, Government of India.

AIC-JNUFI is located at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus, New Delhi.

To promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship by nurturing cutting-edge research ideas into sustainable startups. AIC-JNUFI provides a world-class incubation ecosystem focusing on deep-tech, life sciences, and biotech startups.

AIC-JNUFI Activities

AIC-JNUFI actively promotes entrepreneurship through partnerships and training programs. Activities include:

- Startup counseling with outside mentors and support ecosystem including PHD Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and other bodies.

- Women's entrepreneurship meets

- Entrepreneurship collaboration with Aryabhatta College

- MoUs signed with HDFC Bank, Wadhwani Foundation, ShowReel

- 15 ecosystem partnerships and 2 training programs conducted

 

Funding support to AIC-JNUFI

The AIC-JNUFI is primary funded by the Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog.  AIC-JNUFI functions on a not-for-profit revenue generation model that include:

- Licensing fees and rental income

- CSR grants and corporate partnerships

- Startup equity and success fees

- Workshops, consultancy and training sessions

- Future support through external grants/collaborations/endowments
