Our lab is interested in deciphering the early immune drivers in the host lung during Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection that lays the ground for a bacterial growth permissive micro-environment in the lung. Focusing on the early recruitment of myeloid lineage immune cells in the lung and the development of structurally multilayered myeloid rings in the TB granulomas with distinct functional outcome after M. tuberculosis infection. Our goal is to unravel the host molecular defector during early stage of the infection and devise an effective early intervention strategy.
