Applications are invited from sincere, motivated and hardworking individuals for a post in ICSSR-IMPRESS funded Project entitled: ‘Social Inequality and Medicine. Access and utilization of medicinal substances by social and economic strata in Central India,’ which will be carried out in Betul and Hoshangabad districts in Madhya Pradesh.
The selected candidate will be appointed for a period of 9 months purely on temporary basis.
Position: Field Assistant (1)
Description: The Field Assistant will be required to live in or, near the area of study and collect primary data through interviews in households and health practitioners in the selected villages. The study design and tools will be provided. The field Assistant will also be required to collect data from government agencies and health centres and complete verbatim transcription of important interviews.
Qualifications: Candidate must have a MA in any one Social Science disciplines – sociology, social work, anthropology, with a minimum of 55%
Experience: Prior experience of working in rural areas and establishing rapport with the people
Salary: Rs.15000 per month. Travel costs in the field will be reimbursed
