About the project

Artificial Intelligence-based analysis of biological images.

Essential Qualification

Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / M.VSc. or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.

Desirable

Candidate MUST have prior experience with image analysis using deep learning.

The candidate should be familiar with, and be passionate about Data Science and Biological Data. It is not required for the candidate to understand Biology or be someone with a background/degree in Biology/Biotechnology/ Life Science/related area but the candidate needs to be analytical minded, and should be willing to work independently and with biological data. The position does not require conducting experiments in the lab.

Consolidated fixed emoluments per month

1. 31,000/- + HRA for those who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests - CSlR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
2. 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.

Duration of appointment

Temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Mode of selection

Candidates will be shortlisted based on qualification and prior experience followed by personal interview. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the selection committee will interview the candidates via online mode. Only shortlisted candidates will be communicated via e-mail to appear in the online interview.
