Applications are invited for the position of Research Assistant in the ICSSR (Indian Council of Social Science Research) funded project “The Role of Fests in Shaping of Spiritual and Cultural Nationalism of Bharat: A Study of Kumbha and Magh Mela (Prayagraj, Haridwar, Ujjain and Nashik)”.
1. Name of the Position: Research Assistant - 02
Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. /M.Phil./Postgraduate in the social science discipline with a minimum 55%
Desirable Qualifications: Candidate with adequate knowledge in the Cultural and Spiritual domain, and adequate drafting skills with awareness about the Indian Knowledge system.
Salary: 37,000/- per month

Tenure: Initial appointment tenure, as decided by the competent authority, may be curtailed/extended based on assessment of the candidate's performance and project funding availability, and it is at the discretion of the Competent Authority. SIS/JNU reserves the right to select the candidate against the above posts depending upon the qualification and experience of the candidate. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one month notice by either side.
