The Centre for the Study of Regional Development, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, invites applications for the following project staff positions under the ICSSR Research Project entitled: ‘Differentiated Adaptations to Climate Change in Mountain Economies: A Study on Eastern Himalayas’.
This position is purely temporary. Qualifications and remuneration are in accordance with ICSSR guidelines.

Position 1: Research Assistant (01 Post)
• Duration: 06 months (extendable to 05 more months as per the requirements of the project and satisfactory performance)
• Essential Qualification:
o Postgraduate in Economics (55% minimum) with NET /M.Phil. / Ph.D.
• Desirable Qualification:
• Research experience in the field of Economics/ Development Studies
• Application of Stata/SPSS.
• Experience in conducting field surveys using quantitative /qualitative/ mixed methods research.
• Familiarity with handling large-scale secondary data sets
• Research publication in a peer-reviewed/Scopus-indexed journal/book.
• Remuneration: ₹37,000/- per month (consolidated)
Position 2: Research Assistant (01 Post)
• Duration: 06 months (extendable to 04 more months as per the requirements of the project and satisfactory performance)
• Essential Qualification:
o Postgraduate in Economics (55% minimum) with NET /M.Phil. / Ph.D.
• Desirable Qualification:
• Research experience in the field of Economics/ Development Studies
• Application of Stata/SPSS.
• Experience in conducting field surveys
• Research publication in a peer-reviewed/Scopus-indexed journal/book.
• Field survey experience in states in the Northeastern Region
• Knowledge of local languages spoken in Arunachal Pradesh
• Remuneration: ₹37,000/- per month (consolidated)
