Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the posts of “Research Assistant” and “Field Investigator” for the ICSSR Funded Major Research Project awarded to the Centre for Historical Studies, School of Social Sciences, entitled “Contextualizing The Sacred Amarnath Yatra & Asceticism in Colonial North India: A Historical Study of Collective Memories and Spiritual Consciousness (1846–1947).”
The posts are temporary and could be extended as required based on the candidate's performance. They are a co-terminus with the project.
Positions: Research Assistant (01)
Duration: One Year Extendable
Qualification: Postgraduate in History (with 55% minimum) with NET, along with the demonstrated ability and willingness to undertake field surveys and archival record collection in Jammu & Kashmir.
Remuneration: Rs. 37, 000/- per month
Positions: Field Investigators (01)
Duration- Six Months (Extendable)
Qualification: Postgraduate degree in History or any Social Science discipline with a minimum of 55% marks, along with the demonstrated ability and willingness to undertake field surveys and archival record collection in Jammu & Kashmir.
Remuneration: Rs. 20, 000/-per month
