Ph. D. in Economics, 1998 

Areas of Interest/Specialization

Development economics, regional and trans-regional economies, geo-economics and geo-politics, conflict and security issues, economy-ecology, India’s North-Eastern Region and its neighbouring nations.

Experience

Worked at various National and Government Research Institutes as Fellow, Consultant, Co-Ordinator and Associate Director for 12 years. Taught in the University of Calcutta, Department of South and Southeast Asia as Visiting Faculty and Shillong College, Department of Economics as Senior Lecturer for 14 years.
