Applications are invited for the post of Research Assistant in an ICSSR Minor Research Project titled “Contribution of Hindi Translation of Adivasi Oral Literature in Conservation of Culture” under the supervision of Dr. Ganga Sahay Meena, Associate Professor, Centre of Indian Languages, SLL&CS, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. The selected candidate will be appointed on a purely temporary basis.

Emoluments: ₹37,000/- per month (Consolidated)
Essential Qualifications:
Post-graduate in any Social Science discipline with minimum 55% marks and NET/SLET/M.Phil/Ph.D. The candidate having research experience in the Tribal Literature/Studies field will be preferred.
Good command over Hindi and English.
Basic research, documentation and report writing skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
Familiarity with Adivasi literature or Tribal Studies and oral traditions.
Experience in translation, fieldwork and data collection.
Nature of Work:
Assisting in documentation, literature review, translation, data collection and analysis.
Preparing research reports and supporting project-related academic activities.
