Applications are invited for a purely temporary post of Senior Research Fellow in a project funded by SERB entitled “Identification and functional characterization of transcription factors regulating capsaicinoids biosynthesis in the extremely pungent Bhut jolokia (Capsicum chinense)”.
Eligibility/Qualification required: M.Sc in any branch of biological sciences/ Bioinformatics with minimum of two years research experience. The candidate should be CSIR/UGC/NET/GATE qualified.
Desirable: Candidates with prior experience working in protein extraction and expression analysis, Basic molecular Biology techniques, RNA-seq analysis, plant transformation and tissue culture, and plant metabolite analysis.
Fellowship amount: Rs 35,000/ + Permissible House Rent Allowance
Tenure: The position is purely temporary, renewable after one year and will continue until March 2026 (the end of project) based on satisfactory performance.
