Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the positions of Research Assistant and Field Investigators under the ICSSR-funded Major Research Project (2025–26) awarded to the Centre for the Study of Social Systems, School of Social Sciences, titled “Cultural, Spiritual, Social, and Philosophical Significance of Vāhanas in Indian Temples: A Comprehensive Study in the Context of Hinduism.”
The positions are purely temporary in nature and may be extended based on the requirements of the project and the satisfactory performance of the candidates. The appointments are co-terminus with the duration of the project.
Position: Research Assistant (01)
Duration: 12 months (extendable)
Desirable Qualification: Ph.D. in Women’s Studies or History along with proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.
Remuneration: ₹37,000/- per month
Position: Field Investigators (02)
Duration: 6 months (extendable)
Desirable Qualification: Postgraduate degree in any Social Sciences discipline with a minimum of 55% marks, along with proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English and Tamil or Malayalam or Telugu or Kannada.
Remuneration: ₹20,000/- per month
