Genomic approach to develop high density single nucleotide polymorphism markers in Bhut jolokia (Capsicum chinense) for mapping and identification of genes for economically important traits

<strong>JAWAHARLAL NEHRU UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LIFE SCIENCES NEW DELHI 11006</strong> Applications were invited for the post of a Junior Research Fellow in a DST funded project entitled "Genomic approach to develop high density single nucleotide polymorphism markers in Bhut jolokia (Capsicum chinense) for mapping and identification of genes for economically important traits" <strong>Qualification required:</strong>&nbsp;M.Sc in any branch of biological sciences <strong>Desirable:&nbsp;</strong>Two or more years of research experience on molecular biology especially gene expression studies, molecular marker analysis / genotyping (SSRs/SNP), and plant metabolite analysis and with Valid GATE Score/UGC NET <strong>Fellowship amount:</strong>&nbsp;As per DST rules <strong>Tenure:&nbsp;</strong>The project is until July, 2017. Only shortlisted candidates depending on qualifications and experiences will be called for interview. No TA /DA will be paid for attending the interview. The selection committee reserves the right to relax any of the qualifications in case the candidate is found otherwise well qualified.
