About the Speaker: Søren Christensen is an Associate Professor at the Department of Education, Aarhus University, Denmark. For a number of years, he has taken an interest in education reforms and educational culture in Singapore and East Asia with a focus on changing conceptions of educational competition. He is currently working on developing a research framework for understanding the emergence of shadow education in Denmark and Scandinavia.
