Applications are invited for a post of Junior research fellow in a DBT-funded Project entitled: "A fresh look at sigma 70 promoter of E. coli” (Reference Number: BT/PR16398/BRB/10/1489/2016)'' at School of Biotechnology, JNU. The selected candidate will be appointed purely on temporary basis, initially for one year that may be extended based on the performance on yearly basis till the completion of project.
- Position: Junior Research Fellow (1)
Essential Qualifications & Experience: Candidate must have a Master’sr degree (with minimum 55% marks) in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Microbiology /Life Sciences/ Biosciences or any other related field with relevant experience
Desirable: Basic knowledge of working in the molecular biology laboratory with microorganisms alongwith basic computational skills would be a plus. Also NET qualified candidates may get preference.
Salary: Rs. 25000/- pm + HRA as per DBT norms
- Position: Project Assistant (1)
Essential Qualification & Experience: B.Sc. degree or equivalent in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Molecular Biology or any other related field. The candidate having good computer skills and/or experience molecular biology techniques will be given preference.
Desirable: work experience in a related biological laboratory and basic computational skills
Salary: Rs.17604/- Fixed per month
Appointment will be purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The eligible candidates may further be shortlisted based on qualifications/experience depending on the number of applications received.
