Field Investigator (02)

Salary: Rs…@15000/-p.m. (consolidated)

Duration: The project is valid for a period up to August 2021. The selected candidate will be appointed on purely temporary basis for a period of 6 months or till his/her service are required by the Principal Investigator or till the validity of the project, whichever is earlier.

Essential Qualifications: 

Field Investigator, Post-1: (Qualification-M.A. with minimum 55 % marks, knowledge of Bihari languages (desirable Bhojpuri, Magahi, and Maithili), Period: 6 months

Field Investigator, Post-2: (Qualification- MA with minimum 55% marks, Research, knowledge of Garhwali language, Period 6 months

Desirable Qualifications: Prior experience of fieldwork, Video-recording/ Photography and documentation and sound knowledge of MS-Office.

Job Requirements: Assistance in documentation, field work, data entry, questionnaire cross checking for quality and completeness, writing the project report.

 

Part Time Staff (1)

Salary: Rs…@6000/-p.m (consolidated)

Duration: The project is valid for a period up to August 2021. The selected candidate will be appointed on purely temporary basis initially for a period of 6 months or till his/her service are required by the Principal Investigator or till the validity of the project, whichever is earlier.

SciWhyLab, School of Computational and Integrative Sciences would like to recruit two Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) in the field of Data Science/ Bioinformatics for the following extra-mural project:

Position:   Junior Research Fellows (JRFs)

Project funded by: Data Science Cluster Project under Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems under Department of Science and Technology (DST-ICPS)

Project Title:  Data Reduction technologies for genomics and transcriptomics data sets

Salaries:  Standard JRF salaries as per the rules of DST, Government of India applicable from time to time. At this time this salary is roughly expected to be Rs 25,000 plus 30% HRA per month, but the exact details will be notified in the offer letter to the selected candidates.

The incumbents must have cleared CSIR/UGC JRF examination or have passed an M. Tech. degree in Data Science/ Bioinformatics or a related area. They are expected to have strong programming skills. Previous experience of working on Biological/ Medical data sets, particularly genomics, medical diagnostics or NGS data analysis is desirable.

Applications are invited for a post in a DST funded Project entitled: "Fabrication of the portable low cost point-of-care optical device for the screening of thalassemic carrier, (Ref Number: DST/BDTD/EAG/2018 )'' at School of Biotechnology, JNU. The selected candidate will be appointed for 12 months or the termination of the project whichever is earlier.

Position: Project Assistant (1)

Essential Qualifications & Experience: Candidate must have B.Sc. or higher degree (with minimum 55% marks) or higher in Life Sciences/Biotechnology or any related field.

Desirable: Experience in nanotechnology.

Salary: Rs. 22,000 per month

Appointment will be purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project.

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow in a Department of Biotechnology (DBT) funded project entitled “Computer Aided Diagnostic System for the Detection and Evaluation of Intracranial Atherosclerotic Disease Using Computed Tomography Angiography” under the supervision of Prof. R. K Agrawal, School of Computer & Systems Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

Essential Qualification: The applicant must have M. Tech/M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering/ Computer Science and Technology/ Computer Science or MCA or B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering/ Computer Science and Technology/ Computer Science with NET/GATE qualification.

Desirable Qualification: Candidates having knowledge of Machine learning/ Image processing are encouraged to apply.

Fellowship/Salary: As per DBT norms, fellowship is ₹31,000/- p.m. plus HRA as permissible for the first two years.

Duration: The selected candidate will be appointed on a purely temporary basis initially for one year and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum period of two years.
